ADVANCE ENGLISH I SCHOOL IS BAD FOR CHILDREN
13 September 2022
These days, Dr. Duwadi Sir is actively working on a new teaching strategy. He makes an effort to involve us in every step. He began class once more by playing a game reminiscent of "Chinese Whisper." He divided us up into groups and gave us the task of determining whether or not the school was terrible for kids. Our group discussed the benefits and drawbacks of education for kids. Later, sir made us read John Hault's essay, "School Is Bad for Children."
When the author says that going to school is terrible for kids, I do agree with him. The author claims that schools really injure kids by limiting their need for knowledge and changing their inherent perception, intelligence, confidence, and other characteristics. The author argues that while the majority of people believe that going to school or college is required to thrive in life, doing so actually undermines a child's intrinsic abilities. This literature may teach us that achieving academic accomplishment on its own does not ensure success in life. School does not control our lives, and developing ourselves via education is not a guarantee. As the author pointed out, school may actually undermine our intrinsic qualities, lead to a restricted way of thinking, and lower our potential. The outdated educational system is failing students, and a change must be made as soon as possible.

However, if I were the author, I would mention the benefits of school as well, such as how those who don't naturally possess knowledge and skills can learn them, how parents today often work while their children attend school, and how this can help students develop good communication and exposure skills. I would also like for author to mention how school can be a caregiver rather than just a destroyer of careers.
